Multiple reports from early Monday afternoon indicated that the veteran inside linebacker sustained a tear of his Achilles tendon in yesterday’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Carolina Panthers then confirmed the unfortunate development on Thompson, who will now miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

This is obviously a tough blow to Thompson’s value, as he is now 30 and will exit this season coming off two major injuries.

Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman James Daniels is out for the rest of the season with a torn Achilles, a source confirmed to PennLive and first reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Daniels suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Steelers’ 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
