NEW YORK — Once the dust settles from the trade deadline later this week, the Yankees will have another key pitching decision to make.

On Sunday, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reported that Jake Bird of the Colorado Rockies was a name on the Yankees' list of potential bullpen trade targets. Bird has more than a strikeout per inning this season, and won't be a free agent until after the 2028 season.
