Congress general secretary KC Venugopal on Sunday said Manipur is burning but it is painful that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not even visited the state and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is not taking any action to resolve the issue.

Congress has lodged a complaint against PM Modi and Home Minister Shah, alleging false and divisive comments made during the recent election campaign, specifically targeting Congress in rallies held on November 8th.

Congress on Thursday wrote to the Election Commission asking the poll body to ban Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah from election campaign in Maharashtra and Jharkhand for making "false" remarks in the speeches.
