Day in New Orleans will look a bit different this year, as the city is changing times and routes for the Zulu and Rex parades because of severe weather forecasts.  The storied Zulu Social Aide & Pleasure Club's parade will roll on a shortened route starting at 7 a.

Five people were injured in a mass shooting after a Mardi Gras parade in Louisiana. The shooting, which police described as gang-related, occurred around 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, after the Pepe Mardi Gras Parade in Franklinton.

New Orleans officials are weighing weather-related Mardi Gras decisions as anticipated heavy winds from incoming storms are expected to reach the area by Monday (March 3) evening. The upcoming decision comes after Jefferson Parish officials canceled all of their Mardi Gras day parades earlier Monday morning.
