New York Liberty star Natasha Cloud is available to play in her team’s upcoming game against the Golden State Valkyries.

Caitlin Clark threw up her arms, yelled at WNBA referees and punched the air in frustration after a controversial no-call cost her team a chance to knock off the defending champions Saturday. In the final seconds of the Indiana Fever's 90-88 loss to the reigning champion New York Liberty, Clark took the ball with a chance to tie or win the game.

The Liberty and Mercury rebounded at around the same clip, averaging 36.6 and 32.3 boards per game last season, respectively. The Mercury have shot at a 42.2% rate from the field this season, 3.8 percentage points above the 38.4% shooting opponents of the Liberty have averaged.

But that moment was an example of who Cloud is and why it was so easy for the Liberty to embrace her.
