Now through Tuesday will be critical days to monitor when it comes to winter weather.
The snowstorm we’ve been telling you about all week is set to arrive this evening. Snow remains on track to come down throughout the overnight hours and all day Sunday before wrapping up early Monday morning.
Very light snow has been falling in the metro through the night and that will continue in the metro on and off this morning.
Tonight - The most dangerous part of this First Alert Weather Day arrives overnight and Tuesday morning. Wind chills will plummet to 10 to 15 degrees below zero overnight. Tuesday morning will be the coldest air we have felt this winter. Feel like temperatures climb back to around 5 degrees below zero by Tuesday afternoon.
The Valley saw a few light showers overnight, and we have a First Alert Weather Day this Saturday with another chance for isolated afternoon showers.
A bitterly cold Saturday is in store for Siouxland. Subzero wind chills are expected ranging from -10° to -20°.
