55 cities and towns in Massachusetts hold municipal elections in November of each odd-numbered year, according to the Secretary of State’s office. In Massachusetts, you must register to vote, update your registration or change your party at least 10 days before any election or town meeting. This year, the deadline is Oct. 25.
