Polling places across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia are open for Election Day 2024. Here’s what you need to know to make sure you can vote in person at your polling location.

For a more detailed D.C. sample ballot, click here. On Election Day, you must vote at your assigned polling place. All election day polling places in Maryland are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. As long as you are in line by 8 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.

If you’re registered to vote in Virginia, double-check your wallet for your driver’s license or state identification card before you head to your polling place. The Commonwealth requires ID to vote, but if you forget, you can still sign an ID statement to confirm your identity and cast a regular ballot.
