Parts of St. Bernard Parish were placed under a boil water advisory Wednesday evening due to a watermain break, officials said.

A boil water advisory is now in place for parts of St. Bernard Parish. The parish says a water line broke in the area -- and testing for water quality is underway. The affected areas are the First Assembly Church on Paris Road to the parish line,

The Christian County Water District has issued a boil water advisory for north Christian. South Pleasant Valley Road between Cesar Chavez Street and South Lakeshore Boulevard was closed while crews work to resolve the issue.
