Birmingham Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment building. Officers were called to the 2900 block of Gallant Drive just after 4 p.m. and found a woman with a gunshot wound. Police said she did not have life-threatening injuries.

A suspect has been charged in a Birmingham shooting that killed one man and injured another. Andrew Blake Carter, 37, is charged with murder in the Oct. 30 slaying of 38-year-old Melvin Anthony Burkes, according to court records made public Tuesday. He is also charged with attempted murder for the injury to the surviving victim.

An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting that left a man dead Monday in Birmingham. Anson Evans, 29, of Center Point, was charged with capital murder and is being held in custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.

APD received calls of shots being fired at the Espero Rutland apartment complex located at 1934 Rutland Drive.

Austin police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed inside a North Austin apartment complex early Saturday morning.

Flores, was killed in a shooting incident in Bradenton. Police believe she was not the intended target. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities seeking information to identify the shooter(s).
