According to an NPR analysis, 15 of the state’s 17 counties voted Republican in the last two election cycles. But the two that went blue — Washoe and and Clark — are where 90 percent of Nevada’s population lives. Nevada also has the highest unemployment of any state in the country — 5.6 in September.
