CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service has placed the southern and central mountains of West Virginia along with the eastern lowland counties under a Winter Storm Warning until 8 a.m. Monday. The snow forecast is for 3 to 6 inches.

On Sunday at 9:36 a.m. an updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 10 a.m. until Monday 1 a.m. for Carbon, Monroe and Northampton counties.

EST an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Monday at 7 p.m. EST for Alger, Luce and Schoolcraft counties.
