Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine's railway infrastructure as autumn sets in, resulting in increasing train delays and cancellations.

The head of Ukrzaliznytsia, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, reported that there had been an attack on the railway on the border between Sumy and Chernihiv regions, and passengers were being transported by bus from the site of the attack.

The affected trains included routes between Dnipro and Kyiv, Ternopil and Kyiv, and the international Kyiv–Warsaw route.

Zelensky described the incident as a “savage” attack, and said both railway staff and passengers were at the strike of the drone strike.
