TCU begins decisive stretch against Iowa State
TCU still is eyeing a return to the Big 12 Championship Game. And the Horned Frogs have plenty of games remaining against teams ahead of them in the standings.
TCU returns to action at home against Iowa State this Saturday following a much-needed bye week. The bye week allowed the Horned Frogs to get healthy, recover from the long trip to West Virginia, and, in many ways, just hit the reset button.
The Horned Frogs know that the stakes will be high in the final four games of the season, starting with the Cyclones on Saturday.
Eighth-ranked BYU is going to ninth-ranked Texas Tech on Saturday for the Big 12's first conference game matching top 10 teams since 2021.
The Horned Frogs are well-rested coming off a bye, finding themselves not quite out of the Big 12 title race. A win for TCU keeps the team and its conference title hopes alive and extends the Frogs' winning streak to three games. A loss is a gut punch. Nobody likes gut punches.
Iowa State vs. TCU is scheduled to kick at 2:30 p.m. CT from Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. It will be televised on FOX. The game time and television broadcast information were announced on Oct. 27.
AMES — Iowa State has suffered through just two five-game losing streaks in head coach Matt Campbell’s nearly 10-season tenure.
BYU tailback and Big 12 rushing leader LJ Martin is expected to play for the No. 8 Cougars on Saturday at No. 9 Texas Tech, sources told ESPN.
