The New Orleans Saints head to Green Bay for a Monday Night Football game against the Packers. The task will be difficult enough with a dome team playing on the Frozen Tundra. Compounding the test, QB Derek Carr will be unavailable. That news only added a heightened focus on running back Alvin Kamara’s current status.

Darren Rizzi told reporters the New Orleans Saints would take a committee approach to replacing Alvin Kamara. Rizzi laid out the plan was to use Kendre Miller, Jordan Mims and Jamaal Williams in the backfield.

As per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Kamara may be hanging up the cleats for the remainder of the 2024 season. "Saints RB Alvin Kamara's groin injury still is being evaluated but it's possible it is a season-ending injury and he has played his last down this year, per sources, said Schefter in his post on X.

The New Orleans Saints won't have quarterback Derek Carr or running back Alvin Kamara available for Monday night's game at Green Bay. The Saints (5-9) ruled both players out Saturday for the matchup with the Packers (10-4).

The Saints could be down another top playmaker when they come to Lambeau Field to play the Packers on Monday Night Football. Alvin Kamara is likely out with a groin injury.
