Airlines are cutting flights starting Nov. 7. See what each airline has announced for its Indianapolis flights.
The canceled flights are on United, American and Southwest airlines and include at least 12 departures and arrivals starting just after 9 a.m. Friday and another four on Saturday.
Alaska Airlines confirmed similar directives, saying it will cancel 36–40 flights per day through Sunday, while continuing to operate over 1,500 daily flights. The airline said 100 percent of affected passengers have been rebooked and pledged to protect service to smaller and remote communities.
The FAA’s order will take effect on Friday morning. In an email, Sky Harbor spokesperson Gregory Roybal directed New Times to contact the FAA for further information and encouraged passengers to verify their flight status with their airline before arriving at the airport.
