New York's trade deadline deals netted them extra picks in the first two rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft. Here's how they could use them.
Heading into NFL trade deadline day, we figured the New York Jets might be active. It turned out we were right ... just not in the way anybody expected. First came the most shocking move of the day, as first-year GM Darren Mougey agreed to send star cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts just months after signing him to a four-year extension.
Mike Greenberg, a die-hard Jets fan and host of ESPN’s “Get Up,” said Thursday that his group chats with other Jets fans are buzzing with Burrow talk. “The quarterback they want is Joe Burrow,” Greenberg said as he looked at NFL insider Adam Schefter.
There is little doubt that the New York Jets will probably use one of their first-round picks in April on a replacement for Justin Fields. However, a top NFL Draft expert is predicting the team takes a signal caller from a program known for QBs that struggle at the next level.
