The New York Jets placed starting safety Andre Cisco on injured reserve today, effectively ending his season. Cisco, a high-profile free agent signing this past March, suffered a season-ending pectoral injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8.
The Jets have signed S Dean Clark to the active roster and placed S Andre Cisco on injured reserve. The team also signed S Jarius Monroe to the practice squad.
Now the clock is truly ticking on many current Jets, including Hall, Quincy Williams and Jermaine Johnson. All three were mentioned in trade talks before Tuesday’s deadline. They probably would have been moved if the Jets had gotten the draft capital they wanted, as they did for Gardner and Quinnen Williams.
"The rumors are flying, and, yes, they seep into conversations among players around the team facility, they said," ESPN's Rich Cimini reported Sunday. "One player said it comes up a lot in the cafeteria. It's only natural for them to wonder who might be on the move. This is what happens on noncontending teams."
