Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in her opening statement before the House Oversight Committee that she had no knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton defiantly faced lawmakers Thursday who sought to question her about her family’s past ties to Jeffrey Epstein, insisting that she had no information about the late convicted sex offender’s criminal activities and blasting Republicans for conducting the interview in private.

"Get the files out. They are slow-walking it," the former US secretary of state says. The White House says it has done "more for the victims than Democrats ever did".

"There's something about this administration's attitude toward this, which I think really leads us to conclude they have something to hide," she told the BBC.
