Has anyone booted the Netinst CD from the harddrive? I got a laptop with a Firewire CDrom thats probably not going to make it through initial boot and I am looking for other options?

FireWire ran external hard drives at full speed when USB physically couldn't, but it still lost
FireWire was an amazing technology, but it lost out to USB for very simple reasons.
