The FCS Playoff Committee released its second rankings Wednesday, which gave some clarity onto what the committee is thinking. With the losses from South Dakota State, Tarleton State, UC Davis and North Dakota, it is opened the door for three teams to claim the top two seeds and homefield advantage.

The NCAA Division I Football Championship Committee unveiled its updated in-season top 10 rankings Wednesday, and Montana State and Montana are sitting in strong positions.

After each week, we will take a look at each conference and examine which teams should be considered locks, contenders, or have work to do. 24 teams will make the 2025 FCS playoffs with 11 automatic bids (conference winners) and 13 At-large bids.

Defensively, the Coyotes caused three Fighting Hawks turnovers, including interceptions from Matt Walsh and R.J. Stewart in the first half. Coming into the matchup, North Dakota’s offense was averaging 40 points per game, with quarterback Jerry Kaminski tossing 22 touchdowns to just two interceptions, though that latter total doubled Saturday.
