The FAA announced they will cut the number of domestic flights at 40 major airports by 10% tomorrow as the government shutdown stretches on. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warns the reductions could cause “mass chaos” as soon as next week.
According to CNBC, the flight cancellations are a "proactive" measure, Duffy said. The reduction goes into effect on Friday, NBC reported.
