A two-goal night from Morgan Geekie helped the Boston Bruins rebound from a slow start and gain control of the game to defeat the Utah Mammoth, 4-1, at the TD Garden on Tuesday night. The Bruins have now won five of their last six games.

David Pastrnak had two goals and an assist as the Boston Bruins closed out the calendar year with a much-needed 6-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night.

Casey Mittelstadt and Michael Eyssimont also scored goals, and David Pastrnak had a pair of assists as the Bruins returned from a three-game road trip to open a five-game homestand with a victory. Barrett Hayton scored for the Mammoth, and Vitek Vanecek made 19 saves.

One person was arrested and another was seriously injured on Saturday after an altercation and subsequent fall at TD Garden during the Boston Bruins game. The incident was first reported around 3:07 p.m. EMS personnel responded and found a man semi-conscious and suffering from serious injuries, according to Boston police.
