Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag believes his captain Bruno Fernandes will quickly regain form this season.

Ten Hag is now set to face a barrage of fresh speculation about his future and pressure from the club's part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who decided to keep the Dutchman in post after last season's FA Cup Final win over Manchester City and handed him a new contract.

Erik ten Hag has insisted it is simply a matter of time before Bruno Fernandes finds the back of the net for Manchester United again. Fernandes is yet to score in eight appearances across all competitions this season and has not found the back of the net in his last 12 games at club level - a run which stretches back to late April.
