Two former Altoona Curve players are taking home some of baseball’s highest defensive honors after standout performances this season. Minor League Baseball and Rawlings Sporting Goods Company announced that Curve shortstop Konnor Griffin earned the Minor League Gold Glove Award at shortstop for 2025.

Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. was rewarded for another stellar defensive season in right field with his second career Rawlings Gold Glove Award.

A former LSU Baseball star and New Orleans native is being recognized for his defensive excellence in the minor league.

Logan Webb, a Rocklin native, becomes the second pitcher in franchise history to take home the award and the first since 1987.

The Kansas City Royals are built with a defensive focus. And on Sunday, a pair of Royals were selected as 2025 American League Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners. Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. won his second consecutive Gold Glove at the shortstop position.

No player from the Rochester area has ever been awarded a Rawlings National League or AL Gold Glove. The history of the award goes back to 1957. This season's winners from both leagues are announced Nov. 2.
