Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Ek hai toh safe hai' slogan during a press conference in Mumbai. The Leader of the opposition brought a safe to his press conference and claimed a link between the slogan and the Dharavi redevelopment project being given to the Adani Group.

Gandhi framed Maharashtra elections as a contest between aspirations of common people and influence of a few wealthy individuals, particularly industrialist Gautam Adani

Gandhi took a pot shot at the corporate control over Mumbai’s land and resources, specifically targeting Adani’s involvement in the redevelopment of Dharavi. He warned that such corporate domination could drastically change the city's character and harm public welfare.
