This proposition would amend the state Constitution so that voters would no longer have the ability to choose whether to retain a judge. This would apply to the Arizona Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, and judges of the Superior Court in counties with a population greater than 250,000.

Arizona voters did not want to end term limits for some judges and justices in the state and gave Proposition 137 a resounding thumbs down. As of 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, the “no” vote was up 78.7% to 21.
