As of 7 p.m. Saturday, poweroutage.us, a website that tracks power outages nationwide, is reporting the following significant outages: Further north, Rapides Parish reports 7,049 outages and Avoyelles has 3,099.

“Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines,” according to the warning. “Widespread power outage are expected. Travel will be difficult especially for high-profile vehicles.. Gusting winds will blow unsecured objects.”

Severe storms swept through southern Oregon Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, bringing lightning, high winds, and heavy rain. The storms caused power outages, downed trees, and road closures across the region.
