President Donald Trump has urged Senate Republicans to "get rid of the filibuster," allowing them to pass legislation with a simple majority.

The so-called nuclear option entails overriding the Senate filibuster — a long-standing procedural tactic — which allows any senator to delay or block a vote by extending the window of debate indefinitely.

The Australian said the royals had “taken the nuclear option”, but criticised the palace, saying in its analysis: “Until now, Buckingham Palace had dished out mostly symbolic punishments against Andrew.
