NCDOT crews spray over 30,000 gallons of brine on roads ahead of winter storm
DOT Engineer Blake Jacobs says his crews are in charge of creating a brine, which is a solution of salt and water and spraying it across roads in our region. “We call it our anti-icing process.,” Jacobs explained. Crews have sprayed over 30,000 gallons onto the roads these past few days to stop snow from sticking.
