The Kane County Coroner's Office said Monday that Diego Nava Torres, 32, of Chicago and Samantha Ortiz, 33, of Chicago were killed in the crash. The crash happened at about 8:10 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 88 near Mitchell Road in North Aurora, police said.

A man in northern Aurora is fighting for his life after a shooting on Saturday afternoon. Police were called to the scene in the 1500 block of Macon Street for the report of a shooting just after 2 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
