Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) true killer has finally been revealed in Coronation Street, and it wasn’t Max Turner ( Paddy Bever ). Max handed himself in earlier this week and claimed that he had killed Joel in self-defence, but tonight’s emotional episode proved that he had been lying to protect the real killer.

Max dropped a bombshell on the police this Wednesday in Coronation Street as the lad confessed to the murder of Joel Deering but viewers believe he's covering for someone else.

ITV has released a new picture from Coronation Street 's special episode all about Joel Deering's killer. The soap will stray from its usual 7am streaming releases for tonight's (November 15) episode, in favour of premiering it at 8pm on ITV1 so everyone can find out Joel's killer at the same time.

Yesterday's (November 14) episode saw Max Turner confess to the crime, after attempting to run away with Lauren Bolton and her baby Frankie. The pair were confronted by Carla Connor, who recalled their suspicious behaviour on the night of Joel's death.

Joel's killer has been exposed this Wednesday as troublemaker Max turned himself in to the police. But more twists and turns are ahead, according to actor Paddy Bever.
