An updated report from the National Weather Service was issued on Wednesday at 2:22 p.m. EST for lake effect snow until 4:30 p.m. EST for Marquette County.

Rare lake-effect snow event in Chicagoland on Monday
Parts of Illinois and Wisconsin will see rare lake-effect snow off Lake Michigan on Monday. Snow rates in this band are as high as a 1/2" to 1" per hour. The band is expected to drop south Monday and swing though the heart of Chicago resulting in hazardous travel conditions.
Update: The lake effect snow warning is predicted to expire at 6 p.m.
"The threat of significant lake effect snow has ended, therefore the Lake Effect Snow Warning will be allowed to expire," states the National Weather Service.
