Napoli and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are slowly but surely inching towards a contract extension, according to Italian media. The Serie A giants are desperate to tie their 2023 Scudetto-winning MVP to the club long-term in a bid to fend off high-profile European interest.

Rather than a quick resolution looking realistic, it is claimed that Kvaratskhelia is in no rush to accept Napoli's current offer. Napoli have reportedly put forward terms of €6m (£5.02m) per season. Meanwhile, the player and his agents are of the opinion that a deal should be worth €8m (£6.7m).
