No. 17 Tennessee (6-2, 3-2 SEC) defeated Kentucky (2-5, 0-5 SEC), 56-34, in Week 9 of the 2025 college football season. Tennessee's 56 points were its most in a SEC game since defeating Vanderbilt, 56-0, in 2022, and the most against Kentucky since a, 59-20, win over the Wildcats in 2000.

The Volunteers’ Joey Aguilar threw for 396 yards and three touchdowns, connecting on 20 of 26 passes, including completions of 35, 47, 62, 50 and 56 yards. Kentucky’s Cutter Boley did his best to keep the Cats close, throwing for a UK freshman record five TDs and completing 26 of 35 passes for 330 yards with an interception.
