Niners star tight end George Kittle is unlikely to play Sunday against the Seahawks because of a hamstring injury, sources told ESPN.

Kittle injured his hamstring during the 49ers’ Week 10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Shanahan told reporters in a press conference before Wednesday’s practice that the All-Pro tight end wouldn’t take part in Wednesday’s session, but that the expectation was for him to return Thursday with a goal of playing Sunday.

The 49ers definitely will be without defensive tackle Kevin Givens (groin), punter Mitch Wishnowsky (back) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (personal), all of whom got an “out” designation Friday. Ward has not rejoined the team following the loss of his 1-year-old daughter last month.
