People gathered in what is known as George Floyd Square on Sunday to reflect on the police murder of George Floyd.

As the cities where Floyd grew up and died hold commemorations, the US "reckoning" with racism seems to be fading.

In Houston, the Rev. Al Sharpton spoke at a private graveside service. Sharpton said Floyd represented all those ‘who are defenseless against people who thought they could put their knee on our neck.’
