Lando Norris took back the lead in the F1 drivers’ standings after winning the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix, while Max Verstappen also gained ground on Oscar Piastri. Piastri came into the weekend with a 14-point advantage over Norris and a 40-point gap to Verstappen.

Lando Norris has opened up on having moments of self-doubt at the start of the 2025 season after taking the championship lead with a commanding win at the Mexico Grand Prix.

The team then demanded that Piastri should hand the place back and he complied, allowing Norris to follow Verstappen's winning Red Bull and he thus closed the title lead by three points, to 31.
