In the first season of this Apple TV+ black comedy, the Garveys plotted to kill their sister's abusive husband. And, yes, he ended up dead. But in the second season, things get even more complicated.

But then the writer and star Sharon Horgan decided she wasn’t done with these characters and their saga. And so Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed, darkly comedic drama is back for a second season as the Garvey sisters deal with the consequences of the first season’s murder and coverup.

"We all go through terrible things," Horgan said. "But there's always a moment where we crack up or someone says something terrible and it lightens the mood."

There is a sense, however, that the most important events in this offbeat Apple TV+ drama happened in Season 1.

“Bad Sisters,” created by Sharon Horgan, Brett Baer, and Dave Finkel, and based on the Belgian series “Clan,” was one such series, neatly wrapping up the eponymous Garvey sisters’ story with ten episodes that premiered on Apple TV+ in 2022.

I spoke with cast members Anne-Marie Duff, Sarah Greene, Eva Birthistle and Fiona Shaw about the Garveys' moves in the aftermath of murder.

Bad Sisters Season 2 premieres on Apple TV+ with two episodes on Wednesday, November 13. Though Bad Sisters Season 1 consisted of 10 episodes, Bad Sisters Season 2 will feature eight episodes.
