After streaming issues during the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight last month on Netflix prompted concerns about the company’s ability to handle large events, it has largely avoided problems during the first game of the day between Kansas City and Pittsburgh. The stream did not lag and came through sharp and in high quality.

The NFL is taking steps to mitigate the impact of buffering and lag on users. Whether the attempt actually works remains to be seen.
