After a week of blistering heat in Arizona, many wonder what happened to the monsoon. Forecasters say be patient.

The aftermath of the storms is usually flooding in many parts of southern Arizona. While floodwaters often recede, more storms can cause further damage to roads.

So far, Sky Harbor has measured 0.16 inches of rainfall to date, compared to a normal of 0.38 inches. The entirety of the 0.16″ occurred on July 2 when monsoon storms rolled into the Valley!
