Mattison had surgery in Chicago after being taken by ambulance to a local hospital, according to ESPN.

The Miami Dolphins announced a series of roster moves earlier this week as the team looks to bolster their running backs corps. The moves come in response to a season-ending neck injury to Alexander Mattison, who the team signed in free agency this year with the goal of having him serve as a power-back option to compliment De’Von Achane.
