The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) announced Monday that benefits for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) will be suspended for November.
“As Alabama DHR noted, SNAP benefits are 100% federally funded, and therefore, U.S. Food and Nutrition Services controls the issuance of these benefits on EBT cards,” Gina Maiola, Ivey’s communications director, said Monday.
This evening, the Office of Governor Kay Ivey released a statement afterAlabama DHR announced SNAP benefits will be suspended in November.
