WEBOct 12, 2023 — Yes, 90% of the receivers are refurbished and probably several times, even new customers get refurbished receivers at times. Surprised that they are still sending out HR44s as they are no longer returnable.

WEBJun 29, 2020 — The only benefit of the HR54 over the HR44 is supporting the 4K Client (C61K). Though 4K itself would be an actual upgrade in the system, you would lose the dedicated DVR. A Genie (HR44 or HR54) and a HR24 is the best and most reliable setup for 2 TVs at this time.
